My concept two goes with the idea of a long house with maximum air flow again.
The bedrooms have louvred windows on the inside which allows air flow to come in from windows in the hall way, but also allows privacy.
The hall way protects the rooms from the hot west sun.
The high ceilings in the living room allows for hot air to go up high and escape out the windows situated at the top of the wall.
The slanted roof in the bedrooms also allows this to happen.
The Roof has a huge over hang on the west side so as to keep as much of the direct sunlight out as possible. The idea of having the hall way there also is to stop the lack of light in the bedrooms.
Elevation of the house is helping to draw the cooler air into the house at night.
